Villain to Kill (Webtoons) Wiki
See also: Cassian Lee, Gangu Gwon for other related characters.

Cassian (카시안; Kasian) is the main protagonist of Villain to Kill. He was formerly Cassian Lee, the S rank top-class psyker. After being betrayed and murdered by Lampas he has been reincarnated into the body of 18 year old Korean high-school student, Gangu Gwon. In his rage, Cassian has awakened as a villain and sworn vengeance on Lampas. He now lives a double life—maintaining Gangu's civilian life while also acting as the villain, Cassian. He is the current boss of the Gadam Vilzone, following his initiation.

As trouble knocks on their vilzone's door, Cassian gradually finds himself becoming entangled in the underground political war between Winterbell and the Masters of Evil.

Perpetually accompanied by Moros, Cassian is not nearly as alone as he appears.

Appearance

Gangu Gwon was an older teenager and he looks the part. Cassian now has a younger face. He begins with an average physique and in little time, forges it into a muscular young man's.

He stands at an average height of 180cm (roughly 5'11")[1]. This puts him significantly shorter than Uchan Kim, but a bit taller than most girls.

As a civilian he has yellow-brown eyes. He arranges his dark brown hair out of his eyes and into loose spikes. He often wears a blue and black blazer, but does vary his wardrobe some. His sleeves are typically rolled up to his elbows. He is currently 178cm tall, according to Fupin. [6]

In the beginning of his new life as Gangu Gwon, he's seen wearing a white shirt of the Gadam school uniform with a few buttons undone. He also begins this stolen life wearing a black locket shaped in a strange symbol and an eye, which is later found to manifest Moros, a mighty soul from the ancient times. [7]

E13 cassianv levelup magicstone

Cassian's early dark bodysuit in villain form.[8]

As a villain, Cassian is heterochromatic with one bright yellow eye and the other vibrant blue. They glow at times to show Cassian's intimidating aura or show off his extreme anger. His hair is black and spiky. He also has clawed gauntlets with blue highlights and designs, along with black patterns over his face. Both his tattoos and the blue designs in his gauntlets have a similar design. [7] Said design also bears striking resemblance to Moros's necklace.

Since villains are capable of changing their costumes at will, Cassian's outfit changes throughout the series. When he first manifests as a villain, his costume consists of the white shirt with Moros' locket. [7]

Shortly after manifesting as a villain, he augments his clothing into a black, form-fitting bodysuit, which Moros claims showcases his lack of talent in fashion. [9]

When he shows for his trial to be accepted as a member of the Gadam Vilzone, he's wearing a black short-sleeved jacket with blue and white highlights, which is his current villain attire. [10]

In his 2nd Awakening state, he looks more like Cassian Lee with his hairstyle, wearing a black and blue longcoat with glowing blue and yellow eyes that become blue and blood red as the fight goes on. He also wears rectangular earrings, He wears a pitch black shirt under the coat. He had a shadowy "horn" when first used against Don King.

Personality

Cassian has very high social confidence. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and neither does he feel compelled to dominate a conversation unless he has a point to make. He knows when to command and when to step back. After he saw how his fellow psykers killed his mentor and framed him for treason, Cassian swore that he'll get his revenge against Lampas.

E17 CassianV blood splatter

Cassian's choices take him on an uncertain and bloody path.[14]

In his former life before being killed and reincarnated, Cassian had been very cocky and hot-headed. Although he used to be one of the best psykers in the world, his actions were heavily criticized by his superiors. He did more damage than villains. Some people even compared his attitude with a villain's behavior.

After actually becoming a villain, Cassian begins to see that not all of them are evil or cold-blooded murderers as he used to think. Cassian has learned to be generally more mellow than he was in his past life through sheer necessity. Being a villain means he cannot run high on his emotions and remain sane. He's very vulnerable to losing himself to a berserk state. Fortunately, Moros helps stabilize him.

E20 cassianv melee

Cassian while facing an enemy.

Cassian is usually seen with a serious and stoic demeanor. After being betrayed, framed and killed by Lampas, he becomes distant and distrustful with people. Even when Driver proves to be on his side willing to support him to catch the serial killer, Cassian doesn't completely trust Driver for being a villain and the primary suspect. Nevertheless, after becoming the new vilzone boss, Cassian has slightly become to rely on Driver. And when they find out about Naeun Kim being kidnapped, Driver and Cassian show themselves able to work together as partners.

Cassian never holds back against his opponents and tends to be a bit ruthless. However despite this, he refuses to kill in cold blood. He has a pledge to refrain from killing unless given no other option. He still feels unease when killing someone.

Because he starts and responds to conversations with Moros, whom no one else can see or hear, Cassian comes across as a bit strange and abrupt to others.

Cassian gradually adapts to his new identity as Gangu Gwon.

He has a kind and soft side, but he rarely shows this part of himself. He cares about Yuri because she's Gangu's older sister and wants the best for her, proven when he convinces her to take the offer she received to work in America, but also because he believes she'll be safe if she is far away from him.

E19 cassianG car accident

Cassian saves an old man from getting hit by a car.[15]

Cassian has a hero complex. Aside from hunting down terrorists and serial killers, Cassian goes out of his way to save an elderly man from getting hit by a vehicle.[15]

He has a habit of dropping unsolicited advice to people he sees as children — even bullies, demonstrated as he suggests not sticking ones face out in a fight.[16]

Being mostly caught up in his revenge quest, Cassian has few friends, but is interested in allying himself with strong or useful companions.[4]

History

See: Cassian Lee's history section for the story of his past life.

A story ends, and another begins anew with the very literal death of his old life when Cassian Lee is murdered by his Lampas coworkers.[17] Instead of staying dead, Moros revives him into the body and destiny of Gangu Gwon, a Korean high school boy. Gangu’s memories and emotions come with the package.[18]

Cassian starts his new life running a roller coaster of heavy emotions between the loss of Jeff, the trauma of his own death and the mess of inherited baggage from Gangu Gwon. But it’s the thirst for revenge that keeps him going.

Cassian snaps and becomes a villain upon discovering that Lampas is framing him for Jeff’s death.[7]

Moros helps stabilize him. But even so, Cassian runs hot on his anger and thinks little of it. That is, until he loses his mind while fighting Blaster.[19]

E7 cassianv loses his mind

Cassian subsumes to his trigger and becomes a mindless killing machine.[20]

After that, he has an existential crisis and mellows out some from sheer necessity.

E7 cassianv regains his mind

Moros snaps Cassian out of his mindless raging. Cassian is horrified.[20]

When he first meets Yuri Gwon, he is of the mind that he is an intruder in someone else's body, despite having inherited Gangu's memories. Cassian dithers over whether to tell her that he's not her brother and awkwardly tells her nothing of importance.[21] But over time he comes to see himself more as Gangu.[10]

Most of his time is spent sharpening his body and practicing his skills so that he might be better prepared to take his revenge, and of course, serving due justice to terrorists and serial killers. This latter course of action puts him on the radar of Driver, the local vilzone boss. The two of them test each other for moral fiber and trustworthiness, and once they find a common ground of mutual respect, Cassian finds himself being roped into joining Gadam Vilzone -- as the new boss.

It's one more step on his path to revenge: access to magic stones and perhaps, some companions who can hold their own...[4]

Abilities

After reincarnating into Gangu, Cassian has inherited Gangu's potential and powers to bring about the apocalypse (대재앙급 잠재능력을 lit. potential to reach Catastrophe Class Villain). With it, Cassian seems to be capable of reaching heights as a Villain if he trains and puts the potential into it. He noticeably starts off with a much higher magic stone absorption rate.

Having lived his first life as one of the most competent psykers in the world, Cassian is shockingly formidable. He is highly trained and does not hesitate in combat. Such that when he first fights Driver, the other villain privately observes that no one can fight like that without professional training. Jeff has mentioned to Moros that Cassian has the highest potential amongst the top-class psykers.

Cassian's fighting style is well balanced and skillful. He uses mainly kicks and punches in his fights, sometimes using grapples to throw around and knock out his opponents. Cassian is shown to use many moves from different styles of martial arts, such as boxing, low-kicking and wrestling to maximize his damage. He also uses his magic skills in a way to best overwhelm opponents with even much higher magic points than him. Cassian is very fond of throwing his opponents around through windows, slamming them against the ground or wall. He also doesn't hesitate to poke his opponents in the eyes. After fighting in the Festival of Corruption, he is able to match his former mentor Lillian in a stand up fight. Cassian is described as a rampaging bullet train by Raul, and a hit and run is described as different since he is using it.

E3 cassianG combat blocksbaseballbat

Cassian casually blocks a hit from a bully's baseball bat.[22]

Cassian's physical abilities as Gangu Gwon are much stronger than an average human, being able to casually knock out Gangu's bullies and could contend with Uchan's fighting prowess though Uchan was holding back then. He later trains his physique to be able to support 10kg sandbags on both his arms and legs while jogging to increase his strength and stamina in a fight. He is able to balance his entire body in a suspended position over bars with the extra weights on.

E3 cassianv breaks wall

In a fit of frustration, Cassian damages a wall in villain form.[22]

In villain form, his physical abilities are greatly amplified and he is able to break walls casually[22] and contend against psykers and villains. He is able to fight through the brunt of Driver's skill kit, and knock out Black Hand with a well timed uppercut to the chin. After getting more used to his body, he is later able to overwhelm Bloodrain physically. He then continues to train his personal strength until he's able to casually knock around a tidal wave of average villains, and his wide kick knocks down the following group. He also takes down a B+ Ranked villain with two decisive strikes.

Cassian's already fast speed has been greatly amplified and allows him to dodge and counter attacks with even heavier force. His speed is noted to be of higher levels than most his opponents. He is able to outspeed the bullies in his human form so fast they are unable to land a proper hit in his human form and dodge almost all attacks he encounters in villain form. His speed is shown to have improved to the point that normal villains cannot even retaliate in the Northern Vilzone invasion as he zips along the walls, and his speed is vastly superior to Ghost, an experienced A Rank assassin villain.

In most of his fights the damage he normally receives is from attacks that catch him off guard: such as Blaster's bomb strap, Bloodrain's counter kick, Juac's Drunken Dash slam or from him being immobilised by Binder's poisonous webbing. He can endure a building smashed on him by Rosetail in their fight.

He is able to fight for prolonged periods of time against multiple opponents as his stamina allows for him to dodge multiple attacks in quick succession and endure a heavy beating from multiple opponents. In his first clash with Don King, he is outmatched in temperance and fighting skills, as Don King was using less than half while Cassian was showing about 80 percent of his skills. In the Festival of Corruption, he defeats 3 of the Captains easily and goes on to defeat Rosetail in a close fight. In his second fight with Don King, he dominates the fight and then fights him to a standstill in his 2nd awakening state. In his transcended state, he easily outfights 2 of the 4 Perils before being forced to kill Qiong Qi.

Mental

E5 cassianv skill shadowslicer

Cassian takes time to examine the properties and potential uses of his skills.[23]

Cassian makes certain he knows what he personally can do with his skill kit before hitting live combat. He periodically requests Moros to analyze him to get a head start on learning what his skills are and how they work.

Cassian has a high mental fortitude as he is able to fight through serious pain and doesn't fall under serious pressure, not even when Bloodrain attempts to hypnotise him.

Cassian can sense those with stealth skills active as he easily realises Double Blade is trying to sneak up on him while Black Hand and Crush have his attention and easily notices that Ghost is hiding in the darkness.

His eyes terrify Daegu when angered, so much that Daegu doesn't think Uchan is scary in comparison and that Cassian is not believed to be human. In his villain form he terrifies Black Hand in the brawl as he truly doesn't hesitate when attacking his opponents and gives off a scary aura that leads the other villain to believe that he is the one hunting the eight villains instead.

Even though he doesn't hesitate against villains or psykers who have wronged him, he makes the mistake of going easy on those who are just fulfilling their duty as a psyker as seen in his battle against the psyker duo of Uchan and Daewung.[24] This is overcome after fighting Siwoo and her team. Cassian willingly restrains himself from actively killing anyone due to his pledge to live as a proper human even if he is a Villain now, though he will break it if given no other choice. Moros sees this as him keeping his mind safe from descending into a beast, since he still shows unease when taking a life.

With his experience of Death, he breaks through Ghost's illusion of pitch black darkness and noise from all around.

Magic Points

Cassian's magic points initially start at 300 maximum. He raises it to 350 in Episode 14 with Driver's artificial magic stone. He then raises it further to 470 in Episode 19 with 3 more artificial magic stones given by Crow. He again raises it to 520 in Episode 23 and 24 with the artificial magic stones he siphons from Daewung Lee's sword.

After going berserk and eating 5 more high quality artificial magic stones his points reach a maximum of 860 at B Rank. Moros then tells Cassian he needs to get a true magic stone or he will have to get several artificial magic stones to increase his magic points outside of training. Cassian then increases his magic points to 1120 after ingesting the true magic stone he obtains from Barracuda's Fang. After consuming yet another true magic stone, this time extracted from the Dark Armor, Cassian's magic points rise to 1345.[25]

Cassian's magic point growth falls stagnant for a time, and upon being gifted a handful of artificial magic stones from Mujin, he realizes that he's become resistant. At this point, he can no longer receive magical gains from anything less than a true magic stone.[26] After eating Barracuda's new gauntlet's true magic stone, it increases to 1574. It increases to 1768 after incompletely absorbing the Blood Magic stone. It increases to 2027 after fully absorbing the blood magic and devouring Rose's magic power, making him a Disaster class villain. It increases to 2087 after eating the True Magic Stone from the Fire Dragon Scimitar.

In his 2nd Awakening state, he becomes SS Ranked, and his condensed magic power is enough to make Don King flinch, and threaten the surrounding darkness. His eyes now glow Dark Blue and blood red over time.

Cassian is seen to conduct magic power to enhance his normal attacks shown as a light blue energy.

Gauntlets

The gauntlets that came with the villain form by default are as strong as Cassian's fists, enhancing their offensive and defensive capabilities from his palms down to his elbows. Their clawed ends do not interfere with Cassian's normal dexterity such as being able to use delicate things such as his phone and while drinking grapefruitade, but also help with grabbing his opponents and preventing escape by slipping out as seen in his fights against Blaster and Bloodrain. The claws also make Cassian's eye poke even more devastating than normal.

The gauntlet has also been shown to protect Cassian from Driver's smash while damaging Driver's weapon with his claws from the grab. They have also protected Cassian from Bloodrain's heavy handstand kick, as the attack made Cassian's hands throb. They protect Cassian from sharp slashing attacks as Daewung's flying sword did not hurt Cassian when attacked by it while conducting Cassian's energy. Mujin notes that it is a powerful weapon in Cassian's hands as it is capable of easily blocking and deflecting Mujin's magically enhanced sword slashes when Cassian himself was enhancing it with his magic power.

Blood Magic Stone Encroachment

Cassian enters this state when consumed by the evil energy of the blood magic stone controlling his rage, through the darkness and blood energy rampaging against each other. This state forces Cassian into moving to attack his opponent by instinct without intelligience, with enhanced physical abilities where before he was struggling to keep up with Rosetail, after he can dodge he easily and attacks like a wild animal head on enough to take her Rose Scissors straight on, until he releases it by crashing into a building. After overcoming it, he absorbs the Blood magic power completely.

Skills

Cassian Scan 179

Cassian's latest skill profile.[27]

Shadow Slicer [+11 Reinforcement] (그림자 칼날 +11 유도속성; Shadow Blade +11 Induced Attribute)

He is able to conjure a shadow blade of considerable size to move forward and attack his opponent, and also use it as a temporary shield to defend himself from attacks he cannot handle by guarding his body.

He is also able to conjure multiple smaller shadow slicers to attack either multiple opponents or barrage a single opponent. With training he is able to control the size and shape of his shadow slicers. These slicers are capable of slicing through and defending against lots of things, and as of yet have not been shown to be defeated by anything an opponent could do oppose Cassian. He later uses it as a cross guard to defend again Bloodrain's heavier attacks. Usage of these slicers drain his magic points slowly. During his berserk he summons a shadow slicer storm to overwhelm his multiple opponents and it's effects devastate them, bringing them to their knees or rendering them unconscious. The skill increases either after his berserk or through raising his magic points.

This skill does not harm Cassian himself as he is shown holding his shadow slicers without it affecting him in his skill merging process. It increases a level after his magic points increase and going berserk.

It increases another level after eating the true magic stone from Barracuda's Fang, with Barracuda's Fang's homing properties added to it. The shadow slicers are capable to moving in patterns similar to Barracuda's Fangs when it was still powered by the true magic stone, towards targets Cassian wills them to. By Episode 102, it increased to level 7. It increases to level 9 after fighting Don King and eating the blood magic stone. It increases to level 10 after the Festival of Corruption. It increases to level 11 after fighting Taotie and Qiongqi.

Sequential Shadow Slicer (연쇄 그림저 칼날; Shadow Blade Chain)

Cassian uses his shadow slicers in rapid succession, surrounding his targets. He would first use this unconsciously in 33 and continue to use it in prolonged battles against opponents. This is first named in Episode 60.[30]

Self Heal [+9] (자가치유 +9)

In villain form, his wounds regenerate at an accelerated pace passively. It is noted by Moros that how much they heal and can heal depends on his maximum magic points and how much magic points he has left. He is able to heal the scratch dealt by Uchan in seconds after transformation into a Villain form. He is able to heal a sword wound dealt by Daewung's Northern Light in minutes with the skill. It drains magic power to heal wounds when they are received in villain form. After his increase in magic points to 860 and berserk, it is shown to have increased in a level but it's effects are unknown. It increases another level after his eating of the True Magic Stone from Barracuda's Fang. It increased to level 5 in 102, and level 8 after the Festival of Corruption. It increased to level 9 after fighting Taotie and Qiongqi and eating the fire dragon scimitar's magic stone.

Shadow Hide (그림자 숨기)

He is able to hide in shadows from a distance. This allows him to get away from his opponents and surprise them in a fight. It can be linked with Shadow Dash. It is noted to consume a lot of magic power when in use.

Shadow "Dash" (그림자 이동; Shadow Transfer)

This skill allows Cassian to move to a shadow he targets. He can link it together with Shadow Hide to move around fast at high speeds or get away from a fight. Moros notes that using it drains magic power fast and should be used wisely. Cassian in this state is capable of travelling through tiny gaps and seems to be able to move around freely without being stopped by obstacles in the physical plane as long as shadows can exist in that space.

Shadow Bind (그림자 묶기)

E24 cassianv skilluse shadow bind

Skill: Shadow Bind. Cassian entangles Bloodrain to prevent the killer from escaping again.[29]

This skill allows Cassian to summon the shadows from an opponent's shadow into a physical form and bind them for an extended period of time if he wills it. The shadows constrict the opponent and prevent them from moving their limbs or shifting to another physical state, as it prevents Bloodrain from using Blood Step to escape the fight. He is able to use other skills when it is active to finish off his opponents definitively.

Shadow Flare (어둠의 불꽃; Flames of Darkness)

E24 cassianv skilluse shadow flare dabi

Skill: Shadow Flare. Cassian combusts a rumbling torrent of blue shadow fire.[29]

This skill allows Cassian to ignite and combust "flames" of Darkness to either burn the opponent to a crisp or counter an opponent's similar flare skills. These flames are able to devour fire created through an opponent's magic power as seen from how it reacts to contact with Pointer's flame spear. Moros notes that it has spiritual properties as it was able to burn away cursed spirits and impurities. It's true capabilities are yet to be seen.

This skill does not harm Cassian himself as he is shown holding his shadow slicers and the flames radiating off it does not affect him in his skill merging process.

Shadow Armor (8h) [그림자 갑옷 (8h)]

E68 cassian skill shadow armor

Skill: Shadow Armor[32]

A defensive skill obtained from the true magic stone extracted from the Dark Armor. It has a twenty hour cooldown between uses. This decreases to a 15 hour cooldown after raising his magic points to 1574. It further decreases to a 9 hour cooldown after the Festival of Corruption. It decreases to 8 hours after eating the magic stone from the fire dragon scimitar and fighting Taotie and Qiongqi.

Cassian when using it manifests it as a blue domed barrier that can defend against ultimate skills and attacks. When used against Mujin,Dark Glow, the Psyker team and Don King, it effortlessly defended against their attacks. It lasts only for a moment, and Mujin also notes that it surpasses the defences of an S Rank superhuman specialised in defence.

Strong Mind [+4] (강인한 정신력 [+4] )

Strong Mind is a passive ability that lends him more natural resistance against outside forces that might influence his mind or possess him.[25] It was obtained from the true magic stone having the unique properties of the Dark Armor. Cassian is able to casually resist the calls of evil spirits where he was previously helpless under the Cursed Armor with this skill. It increases a level by wearing the circlet bought from Chaeha and from the fight with Don King, and can increase further through training and meditation. At higher levels, it resists the user's desires if trained. It increases to level 3 through training. It increases to level 4 by episode 179.

Shadow Chain (그림자 사슬)

Shadow Chain multi 93

Multiple Shadow Chains

Cassian creates a shadow chain able to latch onto his opponents and swing them around at he pleases, or bind them tightly. He first trains in it 84, and based it on Black Hand's skills. It can transmit magic power to the chained opponents and blast them back.

Shadow Accelerate (그림자 가속)

Shadow Accelerate 97

Skill: Shadow Accelerate

Cassian uses his footwork and shadows to enhance his acceleration to rush at his opponents.

Hellfire (헬 파이어)

Hellfire 132

Skill: Hellfire

Cassian Lee's specialty skill. Cassian uses hellfire with his dark flames to rapidly devour the opponents flame and overwhelm them in an explosive flame.

Fire Resistance [+3] (화엄 내성 [+3] )

Cassian gains this skill after the Festival of Corruption through increasing his magic points and barely feeling anything from Fire Hound's attacks. It allows passive fire resistance, and allows Cassian to disregard even the fire dragon sword's Dragon flames. It increases to level 3 after eating the Fire Dragon Scimitar's magic stone.

Infernal Strike (인페날 스트라이크)

IS 178

Skill: Infernal Strike

Cassian rapidly strikes with his dark flames.

Skill Combinations

Summon the Dark Sword (암영검 소환/暗炎劍; Dark Sword Summon/Dark Fire Sword)

He summons a holdable Shadow Slicer in the form of a dagger and mixes it with his Dark Flare to which they react and complement each other's powers turning the slicer into the form of a curved Blade with Dark Flames radiating off it. Cassian can shape the blade to his will. The skills seem to have similar but different properties that synergise well. Cassian is shown to be able to easily slice through Barracuda's magically enhanced Fangs. After using it properly, it is afterwards added to Cassian's skills.

Dark Shadow Spear Summon(암영 창 소환)

Dark Shadow Spear 97

Skill: Dark Shadow Spear

Cassian uses his shadow slicers like spear tips to launch at his enemy.

Determination of the Three-legged Crow: Attack (삼족오의 결의, 붕격/崩擊 : Three Legged Crow's Resolve, Crash)

This is a skill obtained throught the blood magic stone of the three legged crow. Cassian uses this skills to accelerate with blood magic energy to crash into his opponent. It is powerful enough to blast Rosetail through several levels of a building, and the resulting shockwave smashing the surrounding windows. When used it looks like a flying 3 legged crow.

In his 2nd awakening state, this skill can knock Don King back and strike through him.

Rage of the Three-legged Crow: Fire of Destruction (Locked) [삼족오의 분노, 겁화 (잠금) : Three-Legged Crow's Wrath, Fear (Locked) ]

This is a skill with a requirement. It is obtained throught the blood magic stone of the three legged crow. Moros advises to not use this skill unless as a last resort, as it is capable of crushing an entire city, and was used only once before against Typhon, the Harbinger of Doom and the ultimate villain in mythical times. Cassian meets the requirement to use it after eating the Fire Dragon Scimitar, and can be used in his 2nd awakening state.

Fire Breath of the Dragon Scimitar (화룡두이 숨결)

An area of effect skill gained from eating the True magic stone of the Fire Dragon Scimitar. Moros describes it as draining a lot of magic power but also being the perfect edge to Cassian's close range fighting style.

Hidden Skills (히든 스킬)

Magic Stone Extraction (마석추출)

Cassian is able to extract magic stones from any weapons and items imbued with magic power. He requires physical contact with the object, and a bit of time and focus to use this skill. He is capable of using it to even extract magic stones from items of high rarity, such as the Cursed Armor and Incense Urn. He uses it to extract the 2 top quality magic stones from The Northern Light.
Towards the end of season 1, he uses it again to extract the True magic stone from Barracuda's Fang. He uses this skills to extract the magic stone from Unkillable, the blood magic stone from the cursed urn , and Barracuda's gauntlet hand.

Predator of Darkness (25h) [어둠의 포식자 (25h) ]

Predator of Darkness is a skill that allows the user to "devour" the magic points of another awakened Superhuman. Moros considers this a cursed skill, having seen it before. Cassian does not wish to use this skill unless necessary as the user's desires will also increase in return. This skill is also a double edged sword as using it causes the user to invade the target's mental world, and possibly target awakening memories. It has a 30 hour cooldown which decreases to 25 hours once Cassian absorbs the full blood energy and devours Rose's magic power.

Cassian uses this skill to stop Rosetail's third awakening.

Transcendence (초월진화/超越進化; Transcendental Evolution)

Transcendence is a 2nd awakening power that gets maximum power with minimal side effects from the 5 desires and 7 emotions. It is based around Metacognition, the power to judge your inner self from right and wrong especially when dreaming and falling into the triggers of villains. It is unleashed when he makes up his mind, and he transforms in a instant. When unleashed, he increases to SS Rank and becomes a Shadow Avenger. He transforms into a perfected state of self, and gains tremendous power, at the cost of losing control of his desires at an accelerated rate. He seems able to control it easily by Episode 179.

In this state, he can control giant shadow hands and all basic skills are amplified to match the 2nd awakening's power. His physical abilities can outmatch those also in their 2nd awakening.

Flame Vortex (플레임 볼텍스)

He uses his dark flames in a whirl to envelop his opponent, with enough heat to make Don King jump and retreat.

Gigantic Doom Blade (기간틱 돔 블레이드) + Max Power Gigantic Doom Blade (고출력 기간틱 돔 블레이드)

Cassian summons a Gigantic Shadow Blade extending from his arm, and uses it as a sword. It drains magic energy when attacked, and shrinks as Cassian's magic power reserves run dry. At full power, it slices through Don King's Endless Sky Breaker, his sword shatters and pierces his chest.

Shadow Illusion (샤도 일루전)

Cassian dissolves into shadows without form to escape his opponent and shows them a darkness based illusion to trap them until he attacks them.

Dark Nova (다크 노바)

Cassian strikes his opponent in a downward punch with all his power to darken the area and finish off Don King. He would have killed Don King had he not run out of power at the end.

Trivia

  • In a parallel of rooftop confrontations, Cassian reacts about the same to Red Eye surrendering during the vilzone trial as he does to Uchan deescalating the situation after the fight with Gangu’s bullies.
  • Cassian appears to have a taste for Coca-Cola Metal-Cola, having bought and consumed the cool canned beverage in both of his lives.[34] [35]
  • Cassian's school classroom is 3-1.[2]
